Clayface to Join Penguin and Riddler in The Batman - Part II

According to Deadline, Clayface will play a big role in Matt Reeves' The Batman - Part II, the sequel to the 2022 film starring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader.

Mike Flanagan, the director of The Haunting of Hill House and Doctor Sleep, has pitched a feature version of Clayface over at Warner Bros., but no word on greenlight yet.

No actor has been cast for the part of Clayface yet, but he is said to appear alongside Oswald Cobblepot & Edward Nashton, who are also returning from the first film as Penguin & Riddler respectively.

Clayface was originally an actor named Basil Karlo who became disfigured and used a chemical called Renu to restore his appearance, but it turned him into a mud-like creature.

Clayface is a shapeshifting villain who can assume any form and mimic any voice, making him a formidable foe for Batman.

The Batman - Part II is part of the DC Elseworlds banner, which means it is separate from the main DC Universe continuity and can explore darker and more realistic themes.

The Batman - Part II is scheduled to release on October 3, 2025, and will continue the story of Pattinson's Batman as he faces new threats and challenges in Gotham City.
