Henry Cavill, known for his role as DC's Superman, reveals that he still wants to play the role of James Bond after Daniel Craig.
British actor Henry Cavill, who recently played Sherlock Holmes in his new Netflix release 'Enola Holmes,' says that at the age of 22, he auditioned for the James Bond role.
In an interview with GQ, Henry Cavill said that after he lost the Bond role to Daniel Craig, he revealed:
"If Barbara [Bond producer Barbara Broccoli] and Mike [co-producer Michael G. Wilson] were interested in that, I would jump at the opportunity."
After continuing this, he said:
"At this stage, it's all up in the air. We’ll see what happens. But yes, I would love to play Bond, it would be very, very exciting."
He then recalled his previous screen test for the role in the past, which he lost to Daniel Craig:
"I probably could have prepared better."
Henry added from his earlier experience:
"I remember the director, Martin Campbell, saying, ‘Looking a little chubby there, Henry.’ I didn’t know how to train or diet. And I’m glad Martin said something because I respond well to the truth. It helps me get better."
Henry explained.

It's also rumored that Tom Hardy is ready for the James Bond role.
Daniel Craig will end his role as James Bond after his upcoming movie No Time to Die. The movie is set to be released in theaters on November 20.
